After studying illustration in college, Nagano-san found employment in 2013 with Q-LiA, a design firm that specializes in stationary items with a focus on cute characters. During her time at the company, she was involved in the development of countless characters and related merchandise.
In 2014, Nagano-san developed the BANANYA character, winning an in-company contest. The character was promptly implemented for domestic merchandising in 2015. In 2016, BANANYA was developed into an anime short series with Nagano-san helming all character design work.
She is now retired from her position as a full-time illustrator and spends her time working on BANANYA-related manga and other educational manga and illustrations, primarily for children’s publications.
She lives in Osaka, Japan.
