Is there parking? What is the cost?

Information about rates and locations of nearby parking lots, please check out this link. Information is provided by the convention center and is subject to change.

Can I film/photograph panels?

Non-flash photography is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the panel (note some panelists or guests may request their panels not be photographed – if the request is made, please respect it). Filming in any form (via smart phones, cameras or other) is not allowed. Anyone who does not refrain from filming when asked is at risk of having their badge revoked.

Yes – one has been set aside near room 210 on the exhibit level of the conference center.

Do You Need Crew?

Submissions closed in June, and we no longer are taking applications.

Can I Cosplay?

Absolutely. Cosplay is a huge part of anime con culture, and we just ask that you please read our rules, notes, and suggestions before you come to Crunchyroll Expo in costume. We want everyone at Crunchyroll Expo to be safe and have fun!

What is your cosplay and prop policy?

Cosplay is a huge part of anime convention culture, and we’re not looking to limit your creativity, but there are some rules, notes, and suggestions before you come to Crunchyroll Expo in costume…

  • Costumes must be appropriate to wear in public – if you can’t wear it on the streets of San Jose, you can’t wear it in Crunchyroll Expo.
  • If you are bringing a cosplay prop, please visit one of our prop check stations in the front of the convention center to have it inspected and tagged by our security team.
  • Plastic and wooden prop weapons are generally OK but must be reviewed by our security team.
Prop firearms are allowed only if they can’t be mistaken for real weapons, and the barrel of all prop guns must be covered with brightly-colored caps. No cap guns, airsoft guns, or BB guns at all.
  • Prop bows will be allowed providing they are unstrung and all arrows have soft tips and will not be shot.
  • No metal weapons, sharp weapons, or blunt weapons. This includes items like bokken and baseball bats.
  • No water guns, silly string, vuvuzelas, or fire.
  • Costumes associated with hate speech, prejudice, or discrimination are forbidden.
  • Naked isn’t a costume.
  • We want everyone at Crunchyroll Expo to be safe, and if our staff feel you’ve got something that isn’t safe, you’ll need to leave it in your hotel room. If there’s a larger or repeated violation, you could risk losing your badge or being removed from Crunchyroll Expo without refund. Play by our rules, and we’ll have a lot of fun playing together!
What if I’m uncomfortable or harassed?

Crunchyroll Expo is an open celebration of anime and its fans, and harassment of any kind is the opposite of the community Crunchyroll wants to create. Please read our full harassment policy here.

What is your harassment policy?

Crunchyroll Expo is an open celebration of anime and its fans, and harassment of any kind is the opposite of the community we want to create. Crunchyroll is committed to fostering an atmosphere where attendees can count on a safe, inclusive, and rewarding experience, and we have zero tolerance for harassment, groping, stalking, or inappropriate photography.

Harassment includes, but isn’t limited to, verbal defamation based on gender, gender identity, or gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion; deliberate intimidation; following or stalking; forceful or nonconsensual photography or recording; sustained disruptions; and nonconsensual physical contact or sexual attention. If you feel uncomfortable or harassed, please speak with a staff or security member so we can make it right. If you engage in harassing conduct at Crunchyroll Expo, you could risk losing your badge or being removed from Crunchyroll Expo without refund. Harassment of any kind is unwelcome at Crunchyroll Expo and will not be tolerated.

All ticket sales are final.

Will my badge be mailed?

When you purchase your tickets, you are given the option to select will call or mail. If you select will call, your badge will be available onsite – please look for the Will Call line in the registration area, and have your order number and ID ready. If you select mail and purchase prior to August 7, the badge will be mailed to the address you gave us.

When will badges be mailed?

Badges will be mailed in mid to late August. You should receive your badge by August 25.

I'm International - will my badge be mailed?

No. All attendees from outside the United States will have their badges at will call – please have your order confirmation and ID ready.

Can I pick up a badge for someone else?

You must pick up your own badge. If you are the main ticket purchaser, you can pick up all badges in the order. Please have an ID and your purchase confirmation ready. The ID must match the name on the order.

My badge never showed up in the mail

Come to the badge assistance desk at registration. We will deactivate the missing badge(s) and issue new badge(s).

My badge arrived in the mail, but where do I get a lanyard?

We will have lanyards available onsite as you enter.

I lost my badge

There will be a fifteen dollar replacement fee for lost badges – please come to the badge assistance desk in the registration area. We will deactivate the lost badge so it can no longer be used and issue you a new badge. Note if there were multiple badges in your order, we will need to be able to ascertain which badge was yours. When you receive your badges in the mail, you will be encouraged to link each badge to individuals in your group by registering them at the link provided. If you have not done that, we’ll need to see the other badges in your order that you still have so we can ascertain which one is missing.

I bought a kid badge

Great! You are bringing a child. Child badge-wearers must actually be a child between the ages of 6 – 12 to be eligible for those discounted badges. Everyone 13 and older needs a regular badge. All children under 13 are to be supervised by an adult at all times while attending Crunchyroll Expo 2018. We reserve the right to revoke any kid badge worn by anyone 13 and older.

I bought a t-shirt and/or lanyard when I booked my ticket. How do I get them?

You’ll be able to pick them up onsite at our fulfillment station. Please see the link below with the hours for fulfillment station. If you bought merchandise, it will be under the name of the ticket purchaser and they must be present to pick up.

I registered early - where do I get my collectible pins?
